Rose, 24, bolts into the family house met by her sister, Lara, 17. Rose is back for revenge. Both are half-Chinese and half-white. It’s been a year since Rose has been in their San Gabriel home on the anniversary of their mother’s death from cancer. Rose blames her father’s philandering and drinking for her mother’s sickness. And that his girlfriend is moving into the house, Rose sees as another insult to her mother’s memory.
Lara defends her father against her sister’s rage. The younger sister charges that their mother’s Chinese-centric life style cut their father off from love. Lara even threatens not to speak to Rose if she continues to smear their father and will not attend Rose’s upcoming wedding.
Paul, a fired LA County Sheriff, returns from the bar he owns with his young white girlfriend, May. They’ve both have been drinking. May is concerned about moving into a house surrounded by the dead wife’s Chinese decorations.
Rose re-enters the scene with her father gun, dressed in her mother’s traditional Chinese satin dress. May screams and runs out when Rose points the gun at her father’s head: “Ni hao, Dad”, she utters.
Paul and Rose have it out. She accuses him of “assassinating” her mother and abandoning the “Chinese” in their lives. Wracked with guilt, Paul runs out of the house in a panic while Rose yells at him in lucid fury.
Rose and Lara find themselves alone again, when their father returns home. He has burned down his bar. The cops are after him for the arson. At first they don’t believe him. But once convinced, the daughters decide that they, and the gun, will defend their father at all costs.

Sex Rated G is a personal trip across Hollywood’s unsettling salacious landscape. A sexual resume told with such candor that in the end SEX will no longer be a four-letter word.
