I left the play having been uplifted by the goddesses who had valuable lessons to teach me about greed, self love, life and death. A wonderful experience told through dance routines that kept the tension abay. Great production.... full review

Fantastic work. My heart was filled with such joy as I watched the beautiful actresses onstage. A true representation of the many looks of black women. The play is powerful as that it lives in two worlds connecting us to Africa and the plight African -Americans face today. Not an easy feat but Camille accomplished cross generational story telling! ... full review

A MUST SEE AT 2018 FRINGE A wonderfully beautiful, brave and poignant piece about the disconnect between African Americans and their African roots. Although, the piece speaks specifically to a particular audience it is enjoyable and touching to audiences of all backgrounds which speaks to the skill and talent of the playwright Camille Jenkins... full review

This is not only a play, but an experience of healing as a people - through dance, heart, texture, allegory, shape, and myth. All of these are used as tools to tell us, as an audience, that despite our specific hardships we still are such an infinitesimal part of an astronomically bigger whole. The beauty shines through the story told through dance in a way that transcends the normal theatre experience to salve our own tribulations, and give our role meaning in the state of the world. You will leave your seat truly feeling you were given a message by goddesses as if they came to life on your mantle-piece. The ultimate message they send you will leave the theatre with: that you are never a victim and only "a survivor."... full review

So Beautiful! The costumes are beautiful, the staging is beautiful, singing is beautiful, the dancing is beautiful, the chanting is beautiful, the actresses are beautiful, the creator of the show is beautiful! I cannot remember the last time, if ever there was a time, I so wanted to be a part of a production. I want to play these roles, I have ideas for this show!... full review

Excellent show. The work was insightful and gave a very fresh perspective of the black women's experience. Something to be seen no matter who you are. So awesome to hear and see a seldom heard perspective from an African lens. I went in excited and got even more than I expected and left feeling touched and moved by the work. The choreography, visual aesthetic, and acting were all pleasing. Great Casting.... full review
