We are looking for smart, motivated individuals to help the Fringe staff mount the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival. It’s a big job but it’s also a very rewarding one. Some of our past interns have even moved on to become Fringe staff. 

The following positions are available: Fringe Central Set Design Intern, Events Intern, Volunteer Coordinator Intern and Cabaret Intern.

If you are interested in an internship with the Hollywood Fringe Festival, please review the four available positions here and submit a cover letter and resume to internships@hollywoodfringe.org. Please specify which position(s) you are applying for in your cover letter. Deadline to apply April 1st.

Now is the time to seize the day, to realize your dreams and propel your vision onto the stage. The good news is that you aren’t alone. By your side is a legion of veteran and aspiring fringers, each sharing your grit, hope and ambition. It’s the Fringe community that makes all this possible and that community is behind you!

Complete the three steps of registration by April 1st to be included in this year’s printed guide (if you don’t register by that time you can still take part in the festival and have your project listed at hollywoodfringe.org). Guide ad sales close on April 15th and tickets go on sale on May 1st.

After intense deliberation by our selection committee, we are proud to announce the 2018 Fringe Scholarship winners. Each production reflects Hollywood Fringe’s commitment to expand and diversify the pool of artists producing work at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
 
The Winners of the 2018 Fringe Scholarships are:

Fringe Scholarships provide each recipient with complimentary festival registration, a $550 stipend toward venue and production costs, a Fringe mentor, and marketing and networking opportunities as a member of the Fringe community.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is accepting applications for Fringe Mentors to support its Fringe Scholarships program. As a Fringe Mentor, you will be paired with a scholarship recipient and will exist as their go-to Fringe friend & confidant.

*Fringe Mentor Applications are due on January 15th, 2018 at 11:59 pm. To apply, please visit our mentor page.

Mentor criteria:

  1. You must have completed at least one Hollywood Fringe Festival
  2. You must be available for a short check-in with your mentee weekly (starting Feb 1) in the weeks leading up to and during the Hollywood Fringe Festival
  3. You must be available for a one-hour pre & post festival meeting (can be in person, Skype, phone call, etc) with your mentee in the first 2 weeks of your partnership and following the 2017 festival
  4. You must also attend events with your mentee. The more help the better! We encourage you to attend as many Town Halls, Workshops & Office Hours as possible.

The two following dates are required:

  • Special pre “Office Hours” Meet-up (Required): May 16, 2018 6:00 pm
  • Fringe Central Meet Up for winners & mentors (Required): Sat, June 9, 2018 3:30 pm
  • Fringe Cabaret (Recommended): Sun, June 10, 2018 8 pm

All Fringe Mentors will receive a quarter page ad in the 2017 Hollywood Fringe guide to promote their own projects.

ORANGUTAN is a haunting and absurd one-woman show about the mother of a brutish (slightly orange) would-be dictator, and the tribalism that’s tearing our country apart.

In the distant past of 2007, Casey writes fanfiction for the hit Alfie Wunderkid series of books. She writes really, really, really bad fanfiction. On purpose.
