What I liked

Stephen Spiegel shines as John Wilkes Booth. During the preview performance there was never a moment when he broke character. He became JWB. The script by playwright Lloyd J. Schwartz stands out as an insightful study in character and motivation.

What I didn't like

A misdirected light. I sat in the second row on the right side of the audience and one of the bright show lights glared into my left eye.

My overall impression

Don’t miss John Wilkes Booth – as resurrected by Stephen Spiegel.

A father rules a made-up nation with his family as his only subjects. When his son takes the mission too far and his daughter questions everything, he fights for power in the face of family, country, and reality.
