Review by KRISTEL FRITZ

June 08, 2017

What I liked

The chemistry between the actors was palpable. Damla Coskun’s performance was extraordinary. Her commitment to Lucy was inspired and memorable.

What I didn't like

The baiting of Lucy to understand her sexual urges and tendencies seemed forced. I don’t think that part moved the story along very much.

My overall impression

This show presents a haunting and provocative view of humanity, questioning what exactly is at the core of our human existence. Minimal in its presentation, CHIMPSKIN is rich in its showcase of talent and powerful in the way it invites the audience in. I left the theater engaged and moved.
