Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s play is premiering its very first english translation at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

We drink life everyday, and we forget its taste. “I’ve lived for a long time without realizing it” tells David in a monologue to an imaginary man.
The story of a man affected by an incurable sickness, a shameful sickness in the eyes of others, as if love and its consequences – even tragic – could be something shameful.
It’s because he can see the end that his life became precious, and confronted by the incomprehension of his family, he finds solace in the forest.
