What I liked

I liked the honesty in the storytelling. I thought the casting was very precise. Both actors really embodied the two archetypes very well. I forgot that there was no one on the other end when they were using the phone. I thought that was awesome. I liked the details in the script. Also, the decision to use the howling wind sound effect when the door opened several times is essential to the production. It gave the feeling that there was no escape.

What I didn't like

Maybe some fake blood.

My overall impression

Man is Wolf is an alarmingly truthful piece that illuminates our animalistic patterns kept integral beneath our social and moral responsibility. It shows these patterns turning to sexual violence that finds the wall cracks in humanity’s deteriorating institutions and leaps. As the audience, we watch two individuals struggle to fortify their own convictions against the other’s attack in the confines of a motel room sealed by an unforgiving winter storm. The tension is thick and drunk. It holds you hostage in your own inner turmoil and if you think you have none, it will find it for you.
