What I liked

“The Sower” is a beautiful, painful piece of art that made me empathize and relate. I couldn’t say when I felt as much emotion watching a play.
I would watch Mr. Mastain perform this role many more times. I hope that I have that chance. What had the most impact for me was that Vincent wasn’t played as mentally ill or troubled, Mr. Mastain didn’t act ill, he simply was. I felt like I was watching a living man, not an icon, fighting to stay afloat.
Mr. Deaver was great as Theo. He was empathetic to his brother while still frustrated and at wits end. I believed these two were siblings.
Mr. McDonald had me convinced of his credentials and experience and Ms. Eva was both caring as a nurse but also maintained her individuality as a grieving mother. She stayed respectful even when attacked.
Lastly, Mr. Gracia was so on top of his game picking up on small things and reacting beautifully. I was both fascinated and scared of his power.

The cast went to a local bar afterwards but I didn’t want to go. I was afraid seeing the cast as themselves would detract from my experience.

What I didn't like

I found nothing to improve upon.

My overall impression

I would see this play multiple times. I loved the cast and can’t recall being as moved by a play as I was with “The Sower.”
