DIRECTING DROP-IN
Moderated by Matt Ritchey

Are you an ACTOR looking to work on a scene or monologue? Are you a DIRECTOR looking for advice or help staging a scene? Are you a PLAYWRIGHT who needs extra workshop time?

The DIRECTING DROP-IN is a two hour weekly block where you can bring your scenes and projects to work on, get coached, and collaborate.

It’s a great way to get a boost in your Fringe rehearsals, jump-start material, or try out new stuff! A $10 drop-in gives you access to collaborate and audit, and $30 gets you an hour of working exclusively on the material you bring in.

Matt Ritchey is a director, writer, actor, and acting coach. He holds a BFA in Acting from NYU’S Tisch School of the Arts, a Certificate in Shakespeare from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and is a recent graduate and Associate Producer at Director’s Lab West. Recent directing credits include the new drama American Conspiracy (Winner of the “Encore Producer’s Award” at Hollywood Fringe Festival 2018, “Best Director” nomination by TheTVolution), Angel’s Flight (winner of “Best Cabaret/Variety” at Hollywood Fringe Festival, “Best Director” nomination by Rogue Shakespeare Company), and Martha Washington Killed a Redcoat (nominated for “Best Comedy” and “Short and Sweet” Awards). As a film director, his short Poker Night won “Best Comedy Short” at the Culver City Film Festival and was nominated for Connect Film Festival’s ’Apollo Award’ for “a compelling exploration of masculinity” in filmmaking. His new play, “Blackboxing,”debuts at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
