An existential trip through words, Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road is an excellent example of what a Fringe show can be. Silly, absurd, intriguing, and ultimately surprisingly emotional, the actors are all committed to the strange world they inhabit as they trust the deftly written script made up of those very words....

So when I read the title I was highly sceptical about this body of work and my willingness to see it. Let's just say I'm glad I did. The show was amazing, never thought I would laugh so hard from a play called "Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road". They turned this old joke into a new comedy that would be worth watching twice or more! ...

This is a zany, funny show with lots of laughs! A large cast puzzles, banters and argues with each other over the meaning and purpose of certain words.

Where to begin... I'll do my best.
This show gives new meaning and breathes fresh air into one of the oldest jokes in the book. "Why did the chicken cross the road?" ...yes I know what you're thinking...this joke has been done and done and done....but this simple joke has never been heard or seen like this before. Mathew Hennigar takes us on a journey through self -realization, uncertainty, camaraderie, leadership, and love. Matthew, through his dynamic cast, shows us that when we come together there is no WORD too small. ...
