It's been a challenge to know exactly where to begin with any kind of description of Orgasmico Theatre Company's premiere of "The Death of Sam Mobean".  This failure to verbally launch isn't due to anything that might be considered subjectively wrong with the work.  Quite the opposite - it is in fact caused by this being the smartest, most fiercely enacted, most engaging and mysterious piece seen thus far by these eyes at Hollywood Fringe Festival and the journey of discovery offered here is one that should be left unspoiled for those who will be able to witness it.... full review

At the start of the show, I was sitting back slouched in my seat. By the end of the show, I was leaning forward, mouth agape, wondering to myself, “What sort of deranged brilliance did I just see?”... full review

This was a wonderful surreal, cerebral exploration of identity and individualism, marked by lazer-tight writing and top-notch acting, especially from Schoen Hodges, who (without giving too much away) gives a magnificent, many-layered performance where his physicality changes as much as his voice does.... full review

Whacky and fun. Brilliantly staged, and all five actors were superb. ... full review

A mind-bender of a show. The performances keep you in rapt attention while the mysteries of the story and themes begin to emerge. The type of delightfully weird show that I love discovering at Fringe. ... full review

I'll put money on this play being the most clever & interesting you'll see all Fringe. A wild ride full of lyrical beauty, excellent writing & acting and impeccable stagecraft & use of space. Original, hilarious, disturbing and thought-provoking.... full review

This show filled me with as much laughter as it did existential horror. Hey, I was also surprised to find that the show which includes a jarring cutaway of horny teenagers making out is also the one that gave me nightmares about the futility of existence.... full review

A cast, script, and director firing on all cylinders! I absolutely loved it! A surreal journey filled with humor and inspired staging executed with assassin-level precision by the cast. This is a show that defies expectations while simultaneously exceeding them. Would see it again without hesitation! A fucking delight!... full review
