Review by DANA MURPHY

June 11, 2012 certified reviewer

My overall impression

This show is fun to listen to. James Schneider’s stories of knocking on all sorts of celebrities doors as a 12 year old boy to ask for their autographed pictures are sweet and funny and often touching. What is really engaging though is the obvious pain and passion that is bubbling just under the surface in Schneider’s telling of these light anecdotes. You really get the sense that these autographs are helping him keep a lot of emotion at bay.

That engaging passion was broken a few times, due to some technical issues (Schneider shared with the audience that he had just thrown out the script the week before) but I am sure those kinks will be worked out after previews.

All in all, an enjoyable experience!
