DEBORAHGEFFNER, director, is an actress, singer, dancer, and filmmaker. She is best known for her role as Victoria in Bob Fosse’s award winning movie ALLTHATJAZZ which she filmed while performing in A CHORUSLINE on Broadway. She has since worked and starred in many films, TV shows and plays. She wrote, directed and acted in the award winning short GUITARLESSONS, (also with Barbara Keegan) which won the gold – top prize at Suzanne De Laurentiis’ Cinema City International Film Festival as well as two Accolade Awards for Short Film and Leading Actor – (Deborah), awards at Indie Fest for Leading Actor and Dramatic Impact, and Maverick Award for Screenplay, and others. Deborah directed her first play, BEGGARS IN THEHOUSE OF PLENTY, at Theatre 68. Stage Scene LA awarded her “Outstanding Director” for it. The second play she directed, Tennessee William’s PORTRAIT OF A MADONNA, got rave reviews in the LA Times. Deborah is now in post-production for her third short film, CAKE, taken from a story by Patrick Tobin which she first performed in Sally Shore’s New Short Fiction Series.
